Rhyolite, Leadfield & Titus Canyon

The Bottle House in Rhyolite: In 1906 an enterprising miner, Tom T. Kelly, built a Bottle House out of 50,000 beer and liquor bottles.  So the more you drank, the fast the house was built. We think the National Park care taker that lives here built it himself.  He was quite the character!

Titus Canyon: One of the largest and most scenically diverse canyons in the park. Within its lofty walls visitors can find multi-colored volcanic deposits, a ghost town, Indian petro- glyphs, bighorn sheep, and deep, winding narrows.

The sign speaks for itself.  And to think they used to have a post office! Now there is only a couple standing shacks.
